The Abomination standing in the holy place.

When it comes to the Bible, not everybody is going to agree on the interpretation of all the verses in the

Bible, many people think that it's not that important that everyone agree on certain aspects, but there

are certain times when it is very important that people understand the true and accurate meaning; that is

when it comes to salvation.

I have looked over and over again at Matthew chapter 24, and I am sure that there are many people who have done the same, yet recently it has come to my attention that there is something of great importance in Matthew 24. When we look at the beginning of Matthew 24, we see the disciples and Yahshua (Jesus) coming out of the temple, and the disciples are bringing to the attention of Yahshua (Jesus) the buildings.

Matthew 24:1

1 And Yahshua (Jesus) went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

As the disciples of Yahshua (Jesus) are pointing out the buildings of the temple. I am sure the buildings looked wonderful, no doubtingly adorned in gold, and looked beautiful. Yahshua (Jesus) replied to the disciples; and I'm sure that his reply was very confusing as he said.

Matthew 24:2

2 And Yahshua (Jesus) said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

I have seen many commentaries on this verse and heard many people give commentary to this verse and the most popular commentary of this verse I have heard is the claim that this verse has already been fulfilled by Titus in A.D. 70, but I have a couple problems looking at Titus as being the fulfillment of this verse.

1. When Elohim (God) inspired his word to be written. He does not write it vaguely, but he is very precise in his wording and as Yahshua (Jesus) says in that second verse, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, which shall not be thrown down. That is exactly what it means. Today, if you go to Jerusalem. There is a location in Jerusalem, where there is a portion of a wall that is standing.

This is a place where many of the Jews will come to offer their prayers at this portion of wall. It is referred to as the Wailing Wall. The Wailing Wall is a portion of the wall of the temple that was destroyed in A.D. 70. By Titus and in this portion of wall there remains stones upon other stones that comprise this portion of the wall of the temple. Therefore, Titus in A.D. 70, cannot be the interpretation of this verse because Yahshua (Jesus) said, not one stone will be left upon another that shall not be thrown down. And since not every stone of the building or of the temple was thrown down in the destruction of the Temple by Titus, it is safe to conclude that this is not the fulfillment of this verse.

2. The second problem I have with Titus, being the fulfillment of this verse is the time era in which Titus destroyed the temple. In Matthew 24 after Yahshua (Jesus) told them about the stones being thrown down and not one upon another left. They continued on and went to the Mount of Olives.

I am sure that the disciples pondered this saying of Yahshua (Jesus) about the stones in the temple as they were walking, for we see in verse 3 of Matthew 24 by the question that the disciples asked Yahshua (Jesus), that the disciples, correctly understood this time period, to be a time near the end of the world.

Matthew 24:3

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

You can see by the question of the disciples, they understood this statement Yahshua (Jesus) made about the stones to be a time near the end of the world. When Titus destroyed the temple in A.D. 70. It was nowhere near the end of the world or the return of The Messiah. In fact, when The Messiah was crucified on the cross it was A.D. 33. This was nowhere near the time of the end. When Titus destroyed the temple. It was only 37 years since the crucifixion of the Messiah. We still have thousands of years to go before the end.

What was Yahshua (Jesus) referring to when he spoke about the stones, not one being left upon another, which shall not be thrown down? We are able to find some help when we look to the first epistle of

Peter in chapter 2, we find this:

1 Peter 2:4-5 4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of Elohim (God), and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohim (God) by Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah.

We find in the epistle of Peter that we who are saved of Elohim (God) are referred to as lively stones and are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohim (God) by Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah. With this information in mind we see that those who are truly saved of Elohim (God) through Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah are referred to as living stones.

So with this bit of information. When we look back in Matthew 24, we see the stones that are thrown down is a reference to those who are truly saved are being thrown down or more precisely, being cast out of the church. As we look at this interpretation and we search the Scripture with this information, we find this interpretation is backed up by the Bible.

Lamentations 4:1

1 How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.

Here in Lamentations, we find, “how the gold is become dim! How is the finest gold changed?” Elohim (God) is making reference to Israel as he is speaking of the gold and we also find in the Bible that Israel is a spiritual representation of the church during the Old Testament times, and the events of Israel during the Old Testament times are there so that we may learn something today about the living in our day.

1 Corinthians 10:1-6 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them:

and that Rock was the Messiah.

5 But with many of them Elohim (God) was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

What lessons can we find about the church? We find in Lamentations, first the question about the gold in the temple. The gold has become dim and the finest gold has been changed. When we look to the

next verse in Lamentations we find something further about this gold and what it is referring to:

Lamentations 4:2

2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

We are told here the precious sons of Zion are comparable to fine gold, they are also comparable to earthen pitchers. It specifies earthen pictures which is in opposition to spiritual pictures and concludes with the work of the hands of the potter, it is made by man's hand rather than the hand of Elohim (God).

Zion is the mountain of Elohim (God) a picture of the church. Therefore, the gold in effect has become dim and has been changed from that which is made of Elohim (God) to that which is made of man's hand. Then as we look to the first verse of Lamentations 4, at the remaining part of that verse after it speaks of the gold being changed. It brings into focus the stones and says, "the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the tops of every street." As we have previously looked at the stones represent those who are truly saved of Elohim (God) through Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah. Therefore, here in Lamentations 4, and Matthew 24, we are being told in essence, that the true believers being represented by the stones have been thrown out; poured out upon the tops of every street and they are thrown out by the gold that has become dim the precious sons of Zion.

I believe this is what is in view when Yahshua (Jesus) tells the disciples about the temple in Matthew 24, that the stones shall be thrown down and not one stone will be left upon another. Yahshua (Jesus) is describing an event toward the end of the world rather than an event by Titus in the year A.D. 70. As I previously brought out the fact that A.D. 70, is not anywhere near end of the world and the fact that there was left a portion of the wall. The Wailing Wall, where stones have been left one upon another.

As Yahshua (Jesus) and his disciples departed from there and went to the Mount of Olives, the disciples still pondering his statement about the stones of the temple being thrown down. They asked Yahshua (Jesus) to tell us when this will take place.

Matthew 24:3

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

The disciples understanding this statement Yahshua (Jesus) made was a reference to a time near the end of the world. They asked Yahshua (Jesus) to tell them what the signs of his coming, and the end of the world would be, and the first thing Yahshua (Jesus) told them was to be on guard for those that deceive.

Matthew 24:4

4 And Yahshua (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

We see in this verse that the first thing Yahshua (Jesus) warns the disciples about is deception; there are those that will deceive. Next, Yahshua (Jesus) tells the disciples how this deception will come about.

Matthew 24:5

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am The Messiah (Christ); and shall deceive many.

The most popular commentary on this verse is the claim of people coming professing themselves to be the Messiah (Christ). I do not think this is what Yahshua (Jesus) had in view when he gave them warning in the 5th verse of Matthew 24. It says "for many shall come in my name." If Yahshua (Jesus) were talking about people coming proclaiming themselves to be the Messiah. I don't believe Yahshua (Jesus) would say, many shall come in my name. I have no doubt Yahshua (Jesus) would say, there shall be many coming in their own name. When someone is delivering the message of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah and his salvation. They are coming in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) The Messiah. The People Yahshua (Jesus) is referring to in verse five, are people coming in the name of Yahshua (Jesus).

The same Yahshua (Jesus), the Bible teaches. They come in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah.

The next part of the warning in verse five, Yahshua (Jesus) says, "saying I am the Messiah (Christ)."

Again, you must look very closely at the wording Yahshua (Jesus) uses in this verse. If he were warning about people coming proclaiming to be the Messiah (Christ), Yahshua (Jesus) would say they are coming, saying they are the Messiah (Christ). Yet the words the Messiah (Christ) has chosen to say is these people are coming, not only in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah, the same Messiah (Christ) the Bible teaches, but they profess that he, Yahshua (Jesus), the son of Elohim (God) who is the only begotten of the Father; the Elohim (God) of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that he Yahshua (Jesus) is The Messiah.

The last thing Yahshua (Jesus) warns of in verse five. These people who are coming with a false gospel in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) professing that Yahshua (Jesus) is the Messiah (Christ), Yahshua (Jesus) concludes the verse by saying "and shall deceive the many." Therefore, after these people come in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) The Messiah. Their gospel message is twisted to the point that it no longer leads to the truth and salvation. Although, they themselves are deceived; they truly think they are teaching the truth.

We must never forget that Satan is very subtle and very crafty in his deception and he can even

come posing as an angel of light:

2 Corinthians 11:14 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

If (Matthew 24:5), was indeed referring to people coming in their own name professing that they are the Messiah, that would not fool very many people at all and Satan knows that. Even nonbelievers would be able to tell that they are not the true Messiah (Christ) of the Bible. Therefore Satan very craftily and very subtly will draw people in by bringing a false message. However, it will have enough truth to present them as coming in the name of the Messiah. The same Messiah (Christ) the Bible teaches and proclaiming this Messiah of the Bible is the Messiah, the Savior.

Satan will then twist the gospel message in such a way that it will not lead to salvation. Therefore, even though they claim that they are coming in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah and that Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah is the Savior to bring you on board with them; from there the twisted gospel teaches about a different Messiah, then what the Bible teaches. So even though their message begins with the truth that Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah is the Savior yet the twisted gospel they bring presents a different Messiah a false Messiah. This is what is in view when we look to Matthew 24:24 and we can see from this verse. How very close to the truth it is.

Matthew 24:24 24 For there shall arise false Messiahs (Christs), and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
