«The Abomination standing in the holy place. When it comes to the Bible, not everybody is going to agree on the interpretation of all the verses in ...»
It wasn't until the last church I was pastor of after several years of being there, there arose some dissensions within some of the members. Some of them didn't care for my teaching, and I was asked to resign from the church. The reason I was told is I was too deep in the Bible. This was not the census of everyone in the church, but a number of people that wanted me to resign. I thought of Abraham and Lot, and although there wasn't problem between Abraham himself and Lot himself. But there was conflict between the herdsmen of Lot and the herdsmen of Abraham. Therefore I did not want there to be a big fight between those who wanted me to stay and those who wanted me to leave. So like Abraham, I looked to see where they wanted to go and I would go the opposite direction. I knew no matter where I went, I would be able to call on the Master (Lord). They chose to stay so I left the church and became one of the stones cast out in the tops the streets that are spoken of by Lamentations 4.
As I continued my studies through the Bible, I became aware of the danger of the doctrine of free will.
I was astonished that I had not seen this danger before and was inspired to write this paper to try and reach out to help people understand about Elohim (God) and about his salvation.
Before I continue, I would like to give some Scripture verses. These Scripture verses people would have a problem with who held a strong belief in mankind's salvation dependent upon the free will choice of mankind rather than our salvation being the act of Elohim (God), and his choice and his will as to who he saves.
Matthew 11:25-27 25 At that time Yahshua (Jesus) answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, YAHWEH (LORD) of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
John 1:12, 13 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Elohim (God), even to
them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Elohim (God).
In (verse 13) above, it specifically states not of the will of man, but of Elohim (God).
John 5:21 21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [makes alive] them; even so the Son quickeneth [makes alive] whom he will.
John 6:37-47; 60-65 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42 And they said, Is not this Yahshua (Jesus), the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know?
how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Yahshua (Jesus) therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of Elohim (God). Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of Elohim (God), he hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61 When Yahshua (Jesus) knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth [makes alive]; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Yahshua (Jesus) knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
John 15:16 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 17:1, 2 1 These words spake Yahshua (Jesus), and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is
come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Acts 13:46-48 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of Elohim (God) should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Romans 8:28-30, 33 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love Elohim (God), to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Elohim’s (God’s) elect? It is Elohim (God) that justifieth.
Ephesians 1:4-6, 11 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy
and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Yahshua (Jesus) The Messiah to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him
who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Ephesians 2:1-3 1 And you hath he quickened [makes alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the
power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to Elohim (God) for you, brethren beloved of the Master, because Elohim (God) hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the
Spirit and belief of the truth:
These are only a few of the Scriptures. I could show many more from the Bible that speaks of salvation being the choice of Elohim (God), and the will of Elohim (God) whom he saves. Perhaps I will show you one more from the apostle Paul, who was called Saul before his conversion and hear his story of how he came to be saved.
As we were looking earlier in Matthew chapter 24 the disciples asked Yahshua (Jesus), what the signs would be of his coming, and the end of the world? The first thing Yahshua (Jesus) warned about is deception. He said, "Take heed that no one deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am The Messiah; and shall deceive many." The people Yahshua (Jesus) is talking about are coming in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) The Messiah, the same Yahshua (Jesus) of the Bible, and they are teaching that Yahshua (Jesus) is the Messiah. That part of their gospel message is true. The rest of their gospel;
the part dealing with salvation is a deception as a result of a twisted gospel. I believe this may be what Paul was dealing with when he was writing the letter to the church at Galatia, because from the contents of the letter you conclude they started drifting away from the truth of the gospel to something that was deceptive. To try and bring them back to the truth of the gospel concerning salvation Paul shares with them, his salvation experience as an example of how Yahshua (Jesus) saves.
Galatians 1:6-8, 11-16 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of the Messiah unto
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of the Messiah.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah.
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I
persecuted the church of Elohim (God), and wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased Elohim (God), who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not
with flesh and blood:
Paul is assuring his readers that the gospel he preaches. He did not receive from man. It is not a manmade gospel, and I'm sure that you noticed in verse 15, where he said, "when it pleased Elohim (God), who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace." Paul notes that it was in the timing of Elohim (God), and he emphasizes that he was separated by Elohim (God) from his mother's womb. Before he even stepped foot upon this earth, Elohim (God) already had plans for his life and had per-ordained his steps and he was saved, not by his own timing, not by his own will, but by the will of Elohim (God) in the timing of Elohim (God). When Paul was approached by Yahshua (Jesus), which, resulted in his salvation; Paul was not searching for the Messiah (Christ), the Messiah (Christ) found Paul and Paul’s salvation was all the work of the Messiah (Christ).
What really began to alert me about the problem with today's gospel of salvation was while I was reading through (Matthew 24:15) Once again, it really stood out to me as something extremely important to search and find what this abomination is.
Matthew 24:15 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand
in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
As we prepare to look at (Matthew 24:15), we need to first get some background information about some names that will be used in Daniel that will be helpful in tying things together to get the picture of what is going on. We will first go to Genesis. We will take a look at Noah, and the sons of Noah when Elohim (God) destroyed all life from Earth in the flood. During the days of Noah, there were only eight people that survived because they were aboard the Arc along with the animals and birds and reptiles those aboard the Arc were Noah and his wife, Noah's three sons and their wives. A total of eight people and from these eight people. The earth was repopulated.
Genesis 10:1, 2, 4, 5 1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
In this passage of Scripture we see Kittim is in the line of Japheth for Kittim is the grandson of Japheth born by Japheth's son, Javan. They settled in the European countries who were the Gentiles. We read in verse five, "By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their land…" We want to keep in mind the name Kittim who is associated with the Gentiles in the European lands.
Next take a look at the descendents of Noah's other son Ham.
Genesis 10:6, 8, 10, 11 6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, Ham and his families settled in the areas which are the modern day Iran and Iraq. The Babylonian area and Assyria the name Asshur is Assyria. We see also in verse six Mizraim, which is Egypt for a matter of fact, Mizraim is translated as Egypt 586 times in the Old Testament. We also see in the same verse the name Canaan and in verse eight, the name Nimrod the beginning of his kingdom was Babel.
When we look at the spiritual significance we see that Ham and his descendants all these nations are a figure of the domain of Satan.
And there is also the son of Noah, who is Shem.
Genesis 10:21, 22, 24 21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
