«The Abomination standing in the holy place. When it comes to the Bible, not everybody is going to agree on the interpretation of all the verses in ...»
I can visualize them talking amongst each other... Yahshua (Jesus) laid in the tomb over the Sabbath day, so when it dawned on the next day, how could that also be the Sabbath?... What the interpreters ended up doing was to change the second word Sabbaths, to the first day of the week. However, as we have been studying the Sabbath and see the Sabbath is the appointed time that Elohim (God) has appointed for us to enter into his Sabbath rest, and you recall also as we spoke of the laws and ceremonies of the Old Testament day, were not the reality, they were only a shadow of the reality to come Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ) is the fulfillment of these shadows to come. He is the reality.
Elohim (God), not wanting his people to forget about the coming Sabbath; the time of entering into the rest that Elohim (God) has entered into, if Elohim (God) said to only observe this Sabbath once or maybe three times during the entire Old Testament era they would undoubtedly forget about the Sabbath. Elohim (God) wanted them to keep the Sabbath in the very forefront of their thinking Elohim (God) set it at the end of every week to observe the Sabbath throughout the Old Testament times.
Elohim (God) did not want them to forget about it because it is of great importance.
This is the time that Elohim (God) has appointed for his people to enter into Elohim (God)'s rest. We do that by salvation.
The time for us to enter into Elohim’s (God’s) Sabbath rest began when Yahshua (Jesus) rose from the dead and it will continue until the return of the Messiah (Christ). This entire time is the time for entering into Elohim’s (God’s) Sabbath rest. We can see how this word Sabbath was used twice in the original writings. It was at the end of the Sabbaths (the Old Testament era for observing the Sabbath of Elohim (God) which was a shadow of the real Sabbath), the time to enter Elohim’s (God’s) rest, which began at the resurrection of the Messiah (Christ). At the end of these Sabbaths, as it began to dawn on the new Sabbaths came the two Mary's to the sepulcher.
Elohim (God) also placed specific instructions that apply to Elohim’s (God’s) Sabbath rest that we enter into, for example, there was no work to be done on the Sabbath; absolutely no work at all, no matter how minor it may be. There is recorded in the book of numbers where a man went out on the Sabbath and picked up a few sticks and that was considered working on the Sabbath.
Numbers 15:32-36 32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died;
as the LORD commanded Moses.
As we read over these verses in numbers. It is not Moses, Aaron, or any one of the congregation that is carrying this Sabbath law to an extreme. I don't believe they were really sure if it was breaking the Sabbath law, because it says in (verse 34) that they put him in award, that is like to put him in cell because they didn't know what was to be done with him picking up some sticks. I am sure it didn't look as though it was work, but it was Elohim (God) who said he must be put to death because he broke the Sabbath law.
As we have examined the law of the Sabbath, we have seen it is pointing to the time Elohim (God) has appointed that we may enter into the same rest that Elohim (God) and Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ) has entered into, which is by the way by salvation and we don't work for our salvation. This is why there was no work to be done on the Sabbath, no matter how small or insignificant it may be to us.
Yet the truth remains the same, there is absolutely nothing that is required for people to do in order to be saved. If there is anything, anything at all; no matter how minor it may be that people must do as a requirement for their salvation, then that is a salvation of works. We are not saved by our works no matter how insignificant the work may be we are not saved by works. However, when we are truly saved we are saved to a working faith, but we are not saved by works.
As I was beginning this paper I mentioned I knew there was the teaching of free will. But I held to the belief of election; that we are elected to our salvation by Elohim (God) and saved by Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ) through the faith of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ) and Yahshua (Jesus) alone. We do nothing for our salvation and even though I knew there was a difference in the beliefs I did not at first regard it as something of great significance until I realized that the teaching of free will choice and acceptance to be saved, People must out of their own free will accept Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ), as the teaching goes because Yahshua (Jesus) can't save anyone against their own free will. As I began to realize if somebody has to do something of their own in order to be saved, no matter how insignificant it may appear that is a salvation by works. It would be equivalent to a person gathering sticks on the Sabbath. This made it of importance to me to get the warning out.
I began to realize something else concerning the teaching of free will. Ever sense the sin of mankind in the Garden of Eden that plunged all of humanity on the road toward hell resulting in all of mankind being bound to eternal separation from Elohim (God). With the teaching of free will in a manner of speaking, this teaches that a person can save themselves simply by accepting Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ). This is the age old lie of the devil when he was with Eve in the garden the serpent asked Eve if Elohim (God) said you cannot eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden and Eve replied no, we can eat of any of the trees of the garden only the tree of knowledge of good and evil we are not to eat of, because in the day that we eat of it, we shall surely die. Satan said you shall not surely die for Elohim (God) knows in the day that you eat of the fruit you will be like Elohim (God).
Elohim (God) is the one with the power of life and death. He is the one with the power to save someone from hell. But in a manner of speaking, the teaching of free will says you can be like Elohim (God) with the power of life and death for yourself. You can save yourself simply by accepting Yahshua (Jesus) because Yahshua (Jesus) will not save someone against their will. So you must save yourself.
In this way you can be like Elohim (God), this is the age old lie of the devil. Elohim (God) is the one with the power of life and death. He is the one with the power of salvation. There is nothing, nothing at all that we do to enter Elohim (God)'s Sabbath rest.
I will leave you with this final paraphrase the day shall come when there will not be one stone left upon another, that will not be thrown down or as Lamentations put it, the stones of the sanctuary shall be cast out on the tops of every Street.
For there shall be many who come in the name of Yahshua (Jesus) professing that Yahshua (Jesus) is the Messiah (Christ), but shall deceive the many. For there shall be many false Messiah's (Christ’s) taught and false prophets that teach of these false Messiah’s (Christ’s) and their message shall be so close to the true gospel that if it were possible, it would even deceive the very elect of Elohim (God).
So when you see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place that was taught by Daniel the prophet, beware.
His first actions shall be to remove the daily sacrifice, which is salvation through Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ), and shall place in its place a teaching that is an abomination that leads to desolation.
Praise be to Elohim (God) through Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah (Christ) our Savior, who has made the way for the salvation of his people and for the Holy Spirit who teaches us these truths. Amen
